New and Improved SS Modules
While in the refinement stages of the BulkUploaderField, I suddenly had the idea to make a more generic solution. I began work on the DataObjectManager and its children, FileDataObjectManager (the replacement for BulkUploader), and ImageDataObjectManager, near the beginning of the year and have been on an ambitious code sprint ever since. The result has stirred up a lot of excitement in the Silverstripe community and development team. A number of users have asked that DataObjectManager become part of the Silverstripe application itself, which is really encouraging. I was able to easily leverage the ImageDataObjectManager into a new and much improved interface for the ImageGallery, which has received highly favorable reviews and appreciation in the Silverstripe community. I have posted both of them in their initial beta release to the website. Give them a try!Jan15
New Extension: BulkUploader
I've released a beta version of a new Silverstripe extension called the BulkUploader. This module allows bulk uploading to CMS pages and provides a management interface for sorting files or editing their attributes. Check it out!Dec21
New Website
Welcome to carlinowebdesign.com! I've put together this site to create a space for my web work that is separate from my personal web site. In addition to an up-to-date portfolio and news, users of my Silverstripe extensions can also use this site to access the latest versions of the software. Check back periodically to see what I've been up to.Nov20
Win: Artesano
Artesano, a two-person Vermont company that makes honey mead, came to me through referral from the Vermont Grape and Wine Council project I worked on. As members of the VTGWC, they're interested in marketing their brand new product, which actually won't be ready for another year due to the long fermentation time of mead. Because of this, they're interested in launching an initial phase of the website to pilot the idea and market their brand name. Once the product hits the shelves, they intend to expand the site. Keep your eyes open -- coming soon: www.artesanomead.com!Oct13
Hitched!
On October 4th, I married my beautiful wife Elizabeth on a perfect Vermont autumn afternoon in East Johnson, VT. We just returned from our honeymoon in Jamaica and we're very anxious for things to get back to normal again after 10 intense months of wedding planning.Sep18
